Summer Day Camp
At Grosse Pointe Nursery School, summer camp is about being a child—playing outside, exploring, creating, making friends, and enjoying the freedom of summer.
Our spacious property provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor play, while a variety of age-appropriate activities keeps campers engaged throughout the day. Our caring staff creates a structured, well-supervised environment where children can feel safe, have fun, and make lasting summer memories.

Preschool Camp
Ages 2½ through Young 5s • Must be potty-trained
Preschool Camp gives our youngest campers a summer filled with opportunities to explore, create, move, and play. Activities are designed to keep busy hands and active bodies engaged while giving children plenty of opportunities for imagination, discovery, and friendship.
Activities may include:
Arts & crafts • Water play • Tabletop activities • Summer walks • Special events • Picnics • Games • Stories • Music & movement • Bike days • And more!
Junior Camp
Completed Kindergarten through Age 10
Junior Camp channels children's energy and creativity into a relaxed summer experience filled with adventure, friendship, discovery, and activity.
Camp gives children a break from the competition and structure of the school year while providing plenty of opportunities to challenge themselves, try something new, and simply enjoy being a kid.

Field Trips & Special Activities
Junior Camp may include special outings, field trips, service projects, sports activities, and theme days throughout the summer.
Details about specific outings, transportation, permission forms, and any applicable additional fees are provided to enrolled families.

Camp Options
Full Day • 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
Half Day • 7:30 AM–12:30 PM
Half Day • 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
Weekly Enrollment
Camp is offered Monday–Friday.
Children must be enrolled for a minimum of 2 half or full days per week.
The days of the week must remain consistent.
Families must enroll for a minimum of 5 weeks during the summer.
The 5 weeks do not have to be consecutive.
Going on vacation for a week? No problem! Simply do not enroll your child for camp that week.
Enrolling for Summer Camp
Summer camp enrollment is offered in stages:
1. Current GPNS Families
Enrollment opens first to current GPNS families.
2. GPNS Alumni Families
Following current-family enrollment, registration opens to GPNS alumni families.
3. Public Enrollment
Enrollment then opens to the general public.
Registration
To reserve a place for your child, families must submit a completed enrollment packet along with the applicable non-refundable enrollment fee.
Public enrollment for the 2027 Summer Camp season will open Wednesday, March 17, 2027, at 9:00 AM.
Registration is in person and first come, first served. Spaces are limited and enrollment is based on the order in which completed enrollment packets and fees are received.
Families planning to register are encouraged to arrive early. Lines can be long, especially at the beginning of public enrollment, and arriving early does not guarantee a specific camp placement or schedule.
Camp enrollment is subject to availability. When a camp reaches capacity, families may be placed on a waitlist.
